Jomsom Muktinath Trek is the most popular trek designed by the Nepal Travel Door (P) Ltd. It is a part of the Annapurna Circuit Trekking and famous for the religious and cultural point of view as the Muktinath Temple, a famous temple of Hindu and Buddhist Pilgrims lies here. It is one of the famous classic lodge treks in mustang region including the world’s deepest gorge of Kali Gandaki River, diverse landscapes and cultures and typical rural life. During the trekking, you can see the spectacular views of mountains including Mount Dhaulagiri, Mount Annapurna I, Mount Nilgiri, Mount Annapurna South, Mount Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Mount Hiunchuli, Mount Fishtail, Tukuche Peak, Lamjung Himal. Apart from the trekking, the trail is also popular for the Jomsom Muktinath Darshan Tour as most of the Hindu and Buddhist travelers visit Muktinath and it is the important pilgrimage site. Muktinath is the temple of Hindu God Vishnu located in the base of Thorong La Pass at an altitude of 3700m from the sea level in Jomsom. The temple is popular for both Nepalese and Indian visitors as they believe that worshiping lord muktinath devotee get rid from all sins and the temple is the symbol for the religious harmony as both Hindu and Buddhist devotees worship equally. Sunrise and sunset over the majestic Himalayas from Poon Hill, hot Springs at Tatopani, World deepest Kaligandaki gorge, typical gurung, magar and thakali village, Buddhist monasteries, spectacular landscapes Tukuche, Marpha, Kagbeni, Jharkot and Muktinath (a place of nirvana) are the main attractions of this trek.

On arrival in Kathmandu you will be welcomed by our airport staffs who take you to your respective hotel. After breakfast, we will head to Kathmandu City Sightseeing with professional and experienced guide. Explore the Cultural heritage sites of Kathmandu City including Pashupatinath Temple, a hindu pilgrimage site, Bouddhanath Stupa, world’s biggest Buddhist shrines, Swayambhunath Stupa also called as monkey temple and lastly we visit Kathmandu Durbar Square important for historical and religious significance. Our staff will pick up at your hotel early morning and take you to the bus station for pokhara. The 14 days Jomsom Muktinath Trek starts from Nayapul, the starting point for most of the trekking trails for Annapurna Region Trek and one hour drive from Pokhara Valley. Trekking to birethanti, Bhurungdi and Hille, we reach Tikhedhunga. Next day we start our trek from Tikhedhunga to Ulleri, Banthanti, Nangethanti and reach Ghorepani. Early morning, we begin our trekking from Ghorepani to Poon Hill, world’s most beautiful view point for the sunrise views over the majestic Himalayan Ranges from a very close. After observing the wonderful Himalaya views, trek down to ghorepani to Tatopani. Next day trek to Ghasa through Kali Gandaki Gorge, world’s deepest George situated between the Mount Annapurna and Mount Dhaulagiri. Trek to Tukuche, Kagbeni and Jomsom and we will reach Muktinath Temple. After worshiping the Muktinath Temple, we trek back to Jomsom. Form jomsom we take a morning flight to pokhara, drive to hotel, refresh and start guided sightseeing tour around Pokhara City including Fewa Lake, Devi’s fall, Gupteshwor Cave and others. Drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara, transfer to hotel. Next day you will transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for the final departure to your next destination before that you will have some leisure time at morning for shopping and exploring the market.

Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu, Transfer to Hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu City Guided Sightseeing (Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath Stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square)

Day 03: Kathmandu - Pokhara (820m), drive (6 hours). Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 04: Pokhara - Jomsom (flight 25 minutes), trek Kagbeni (2800 m.) (3 hrs walk

Day 05: Trek Kagbeni - Muktinath (3800 m.) (3 hrs walk)

Day 06: Muktinath - Marpha (2670 m.) (6 hrs walk)

Day 07: Marpha - Kalopani (2530 m.) (6 hrs walk)

Day 08: Kalopani - Tatopani (1190 m.) (6 hrs walk)

Day 09: Tatopani - Sikha (5 hrs walk)

Day 10: Ghorepani (2855 m.) (3 hrs walk)

Day 11: Ghorepani - Tadapani (2590 m.) (5 hrs walk)

Day 12: Tadapani - Ghandrung (2012m.) (3 hrs walk)

Day 13: Trek ends at Nayapul (5 hrs walk) and drive to Pokhara (1 hr drive). Overnight at Pokhara

Day 14: Pokhara - Kathmandu

Day 15: Final Departure to Onward Destination.
